Roy Chason recognized the need for higher-quality, more meaningful executive and B-School travel programs while working in Shanghai at CEIBS. In 2016, he founded KnoHao to integrate senior global experts directly into study trips—bringing not only knowledge, but lived experience and trusted local networks.
Long before China became a global focal point, Roy was already operating at the intersection of East and West. Having witnessed China’s transformation step by step for over 25 years, he brings rare context to its ambitions, contradictions, and global role. His perspective ensures every journey is deeply informed, culturally nuanced, and strategically relevant.

Our philosophy
Kno-Hao combines “know-how”—learning through direct experience—with “hao” (好), the Chinese character that embodies what is good, balanced, and purposeful.
These two elements reflect our philosophy: progress emerges not from confrontation, but from alignment, understanding, and collaboration. East and West facing each other in reflection, rising together when they connect.
